One of Europes largest retailers on the FTSE index is looking for a Senior Technology Manager to lead and form the delivery of the group technology strategy. You'll need to be a Technology Driven individual as you'll be responsible for helping the business provide customer centric technology solutions that ensure that the digital communications strategy, interactive and their content are kept fully operational. Description Senior Technology Manager to lead and form the delivery of the Group Technology Strategy. You'll need to be a Technology Driven individual as you'll be responsible for helping the business provide customer centric technology solutions that ensure that the digital communications strategy, interactive and their content are kept fully operational. Managing customer facing Technology (in-store). The Technology Senior Managers principle responsibilities form the below: Technology and Digital content strategy Proactive process and Project Management Skills are a must have to enable challenging of existing solutions and develop new initiatives whilst highlighting project risks and programme status proactively lead and manage change into the business Programme management of technology strategy and design tracker projects Strong decision maker and an analytical thinker with the ability to influence Senior Stakeholders across the company integrate with existing business process to ensure technology solutions are offered in a timely manner Consult on security needs and ensure that the solutions deliver working product displays and a re simple for store teams to maintain and repair Source, Control and Distribution of content deliver (Digital, Electronic and Interactive Media) Integration of interactive technology equipment into displays and fixtures (install standards for wiring, hardware, and other components for that customers only sees product and associated control button). Cost management of external design agencies where 3rd parties have been engaged to provide technology solutions. Profile The Senior Technology Manager will come from background or have a similar experience as of a Technical Project Manager, IT Project Manager, IT Consultant from a Consultancy and overall an individual who has overseen projects being implemented, in a hands on delivery function. Other great traits and experiences would include: Good commercial awareness and appreciation of customer needs to ensure all negotiations benefit the group position and the customer experience. Knowledge of the Financial and Customer Business Plan and the ability to align development projects to the business strategy Strong communications skills at all levels, especially L6 Directors/The Exec Overall great operational knowledge across various areas of a business team player mentality who can also challenge and influence at middle and senior management level, who holds excellent interpersonal skills and excels at writing reports and presenting within senior forums Our ideal Senior Technology Manager would hold a degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, alongside a Prince 2 would be a major advantage. Also ITIL holding candidates would be highly sought too. Overall strong knowledge of using 2D & 3D CAD would be a competitive edge over other candidates for this role.
