WHO IS CHENGULA Augustino Alfred Chengula is a Lecturer of Virology and Molecular Biology at the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Parasitology and Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in Tanzania. He holds a bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine (2007) and a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (2013) from SUA. During his masters studies, he did a research on “Molecular Epidemiology of Rift Valley fever and its socio-economic impacts in selected areas of Tanzania” and managed to publish two articles in international peer reviewed journals. He now teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Virology and Molecular Biology SUA. His research interests are mainly in the fields of Molecular Virology and Vaccinology. He is currently doing research on viruses of fish (Iridoviruses and the newly emerged Tilapia lake virus)   focusing on the development of new g
