Our client are looking to recruit a Systems Consultant to join the Support Team based from its Manchester office. This is very much a customer focused role that requires a good understanding of PC architecture and operating systems. The role may also require onsite maintenance to the company’s retail clients so an understanding of the retail industry would be beneficial. The position of Support Consultant is a key role in the support team for the delivery of the solution to the customer. Responsibilities include providing 1st and 2nd line support to customers, ensuring Calls are logged on to the ticketing system following the correct procedures, to make sure customers issues are understood, logged and resolved to a high and professional standard. Taking full responsibility for calls taking and escalating queries were necessary to ensure a swift response within Service Level Agreements (SLA) along with providing onsite hardware and software support where and when applicable. You must have a Full driving licence and have driven in the UK (Manual), good communication skills, previous experience of support / helpdesk, good understanding of PC architecture and operating systems. Knowledge of SQL together with MS SQL Server Skills and general relational database along with understanding of internet technologies (VPN/TCP-IP/LAN-WAN architecture/remote access. In return you will receive a competitive salary, company van / laptop and mobile will be provided. Evenings and weekends will be on a rota basis (overtime).
