Job reference number 95907 Work Area Manager Night Shift - South Midlands Mail Centre - ML4 ML400 Full time Permanent South Midlands Mail Centre, Swan Valley, NORTHAMPTON, NN4 9DR £29,226 - £31,638 pa (dependent on experience) plus £728.00 pm shift allowance per month and a Sunday premium payment, potential 10% bonus and 4 weeks (16 days ) annual leave. We are looking for a new Work Area Manager (Nights) to join our team at South Midlands Mail Centre, Swan Valley, NORTHAMPTON, managing approximately up to 25 direct reports including managers and also full and part time employees. About the role Reporting to the Mail Centre Shift Manager, you will be responsible for Royal Mail operations across the specified work area leading the successful achievement of quality of service, productivity, automation and employee targets. • Leading a dedicated team of full and part time employees • Conduct regular one to one and team meetings as well as reviewing your area’s performance and plans on a daily basis • Championing Health and Safety initiatives, increasing efficiency, and identifying areas of improvement • Supporting the Shift Manager, you will provide a high quality of service to our customers and ensure all operational targets are met. As Work Area Manager you will have line management responsibility and the role will involve managing your team’s sick absence, attendance, training and development. You will have responsibility for safety and engagement and will get involved in our programme of Continuous Improvement. Days and times of attendance – Thursday to Sunday - 10pm to 6am Thursday and Friday - 8pm to 6am Saturday - 6pm to 6am Sunday - 41 Hours About you In our operation people are our biggest asset!
