IT Sales job summary As an IT technical sales specialist or consultant, you'll be selling products as part of a sales team. IT Sales Responsibilities • Attending initial sales meetings and meeting the client • Determining a client's business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable • Decide whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client's needs • Answering any technical questions the client might have • Presenting your findings to a technical team to act on, and then to the client • Contact target clients through cold calls, tailored LinkedIn mails, emails and other means as part of a structured, planned approach to generate leads and meetings for the Sales Manager • Market mapping of sub-sectors of the Technology sector including IT Services & Consulting, Software, FinTech and Cybersecurity • Assist in attracting clients to Sales and Marketing events, and providing ideas for these events, both 'Thought Leadership' events such as breakfasts, seminars and workshops, as well as social events; • Assist the creation of tailored marketing collateral and mailshots to potential new clients which will involve working closely with the Marketing team; • Coordinate and follow up on event invites, marketing collateral and mailshots via phone, email and other channels. • Using the Profile RPM database (Resource Solutions' CRM system) to upload and map client contacts to target clients ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date
